J.O.A.N. arrived at our shop fresh from the military surplus and went through two rounds of design and production. The second image below is the end of the first design round. All detailed pattern work and lighting, as well as the design for the coms panel console are explicitly my development. I used laser cut cardboard mockups to test-fit panels before having them waterjet cut for final production.
You can still find J.O.A.N. at Burning Man each year. She runs dark and loud.
